The Good Vibes VW | The Glow-up, Glamping and More!

Who doesn’t love a good glow-up story?!

And who hasn’t dreamt of unplugging and escaping to the peace and charm of a VW camper van? We at Lost Hill Lake were over-the-moon excited when we were able to add one to our glamping fleet. The 1972 Transporter, an original member of the "hippy van" tribe, came to us in pretty good shape… but some elbow grease was required! We started by gutting the interior and giving it a fresh coat of paint. We added custom cedar ceiling planks, built-in cedar shelving, a couch, AND a queen-sized bed, along with a few fun finishing touches. The van is parked on a secure porch that, carrying with the theme, features many rescued and upcycled accessories. You’ll feel right at home with our custom hand-crafted tables and seating, strings of warm lights, and boho-chic floor rugs (and a private restroom!). Keep the rustic feel with a fire ring only a few feet away. The Good Vibes VW is truly a labor of love and is available to reserve for your next Missouri glamping trip or a romantic getaway - we’re just a short 45-minute drive from St. Louis.
