Lost Hill Lake Eclipse Event: A Celestial Celebration

Let’s take a look back at 2017 as we gear up for the 2024 solar eclipse

During our previous eclipse gathering in 2017, participants found solace in the refreshing shade of our Walnut Grove - a real treasure in Franklin County, Missouri! Along with picturesque views of the Meramec River, attendees engaged in friendly yard games, and delighted in an array of snacks available at our convenient snack station. To enhance their experience, guests also indulged in a variety of delectable options from our exceptional vendors, all while safely enjoying the celestial show through solar glasses.

The day graced our guests with ideal viewing conditions—abundant sunshine, minimal clouds, and a radiant sun that illuminated the atmosphere. Lost Hill Lake became a magnet for visitors hailing from nearby St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Branson and from various corners of the United States and beyond, turning our eclipse event into a global phenomenon. The captivating time-lapse photo captured at Lost Hill Lake stands as a testament to the enchanting and magical moment shared by all who attended.

And we are so excited to do it all again in 2024!
