A Look Back: Nathan and Danielle's Forest Wedding

Danielle and Nathan’s Romantic Missouri Forest Wedding

Wedding season at Lost Hill Lake began in the most unforgettable way - celebrating love, tradition, and community with Nathan and Danielle’s beautiful spring wedding on May 11th. Not only was it the first wedding of the 2019 season at our venue, but it was also our very first Jewish wedding - a true honor to host.

Set against the lush, blooming backdrop of our Missouri outdoor wedding venue, Nathan and Danielle brought meaningful cultural traditions to life. The ceremony featured a handcrafted Chuppah built by Nathan himself, creating a stunning focal point in our woodland setting. The couple also incorporated the Ketubah signing, breaking of the glass, and the cherished Yichud—a private moment for the newlyweds immediately following the ceremony.

Guests enjoyed a farm-to-table feast provided by Seed Sprout Spoon, including delicious hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and a memorable dinner service. Every heartfelt moment was captured perfectly by talented wedding photographer Lance Thurman.

As the sun set and the reception came alive, Nathan and Danielle joined their loved ones in the spirited tradition of the Hora - hoisted high on chairs with huge smiles and joyful energy all around.

We’re so grateful to have shared in this incredible celebration of love and heritage. Mazel Tov, Nathan and Danielle! Your wedding was the perfect way to kick off a season of unforgettable moments at Lost Hill Lake.

We enjoyed working with the amazing vendors that brought the event to life:
