Chelsy & Jarrod’s Romantic Elm Elopement at Lost Hill Lake

✨A beautiful Fall Elm Elopement with a private forest ceremony and candlelit chapel dinner near St. Louis.

In October 2025, we had the joy of hosting Chelsy and Jarrod’s Elm Elopement here at Lost Hill Lake. With just 10 of their closest friends and family in attendance, their day was intimate, relaxed, and intentionally paced - exactly what this package is designed for.

To make their package even more special, the couple added a chapel dinner and glamping to their elopement. They settled into two of our most beloved on-site stays. Chelsy spent the afternoon getting ready in the Sunshine Skoolie, while Jarrod prepped nearby in the Blue Sky Bus, both tucked into the quiet of the property as the October air started to soften toward evening.

An Intimate Ceremony in the Forest

Before the ceremony, Jarrod and Chelsy opted for a private first look along the lake - quiet moment before the celebration officially began. Then we transported the couple across the street to the forest venue where their friends and family were waiting.

Guests were seated in the peaceful Walnut Grove for the ceremony and preferred vendor officiant, Chrissy Moffatt took her place. The couple joined her under the traditional square arbor adorned with pieces from the Lost Hill Lake Decor Package, featuring:

  • Fluffy greenery across the arbor

  • Aisle greenery with white roses tucked throughout

  • Large wooden square lanterns framing the ceremony space

With a small guest count and a natural wooded backdrop, the grove offered an incredibly personal setting for Chelsy and Jarrod to exchange vows.

Portraits Around the Property

After the ceremony, the couple spent time exploring the grounds with All Day Media STL for golden hour portraits and gorgeous family photos.

They made our way through several favorite spots across the property including the grove, the back field, Thinking Rock, and along the lake trail - taking full advantage of the soft Fall light and the flexibility that comes with an elopement timeline.

An Added Dinner in the Chapel

After photo, the guests gathered in the chapel for an intimate dinner around a beautifully styled long table, softly lit with candlelight and simple greenery to complement the cozy indoor setting. The relaxed buffet-style meal and self-serve bar kept the evening easy and welcoming, allowing everyone to settle in, share stories, and enjoy time together. As the night unfolded, All Day Media captured candid moments of loved ones gathered around the table - and how cute is this photo!?

From a private first look on the lakeside to a candlelit dinner in the chapel, Chelsy and Jarrod’s day flowed seamlessly across the property. Their Elm Elopement made full use of multiple ceremony and reception spaces, all within walking distance, while still allowing time to pause and take it all in.

For couples looking to celebrate with their closest people in a setting that feels both elevated and relaxed, the Lost Hill Lake Elopements offers a beautifully balanced way to experience an intimate wedding day!

Congratulations, Chelsy and Jarrod! Thanks for choosing Lost Hill Lake Events!
